Ingredients
- Apples: 6 cups of apples
- Granulated sugar : 2 tbsp
- Flour : 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- Nutmeg : 1/4 tsp
- Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
For the topping: - Rolled oats: 1 cup
- Flour : 1 cup
- Brown sugar: 1 cup
- Butter: 1/2 cup
- Baking powder: 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda: 1/4 tsp
- Salt : 1/4 tsp
Method
- First, cut the apples into slices in a bowl. Mix together the granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice with the sliced apples. Keep mixing until the apples are well mixed. 2. Place the apple mixture in a greased 9x 13 inch baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In another separate bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together, add the melted butter and keep stirring the mixture. Then mix this mixture well evenly over the apples.
